Heralding a new part of my life!!

YESSSSSSSS!!!

I am finally here...BLOGGING :), people say its the current "IN" thing.

It was about a year ago when my elder sister started winning awards for her blogs (yeah, she is quite a pro at blogging :$), that was when my parents suggested to me, "Why dont you start writing?? You were very good at this when you were in school!!" I was like "Ohh yes!! I can do that too, provided I have time." That was just another excuse to save myself the tremendous effort of THINKING about something to write. Apparently, I am much better at talking about things than penning down my thoughts about them.

But then, everywhere I saw, people were talking about his or her blogs, reading them and marvelling at the "DEPTH OF THOUGHT" of the writer, recommending blogs to their friends and families, referring to someone's blogs for movie-reviews, recipes, hair-style and make-up tips, latest trends in fashion, the latest version of I-pods, mobiles, laptops, various "HOW TO.." subjects. Nothing was left out in the blog-world, whether it was the more serious stuff like management concepts, the conditions in Afghanistan or Iraq and President Obama's take on it, or the more mortal matters of heart like "How to impress your boyfriend on your first date" :S. The high-point was when people who have nothing to do with the world of computers started blogging, you know what I mean, AmitabhJI and my most reverred star - Aamir Khan. I heard they had been using blogs as a WMD(Weapons of Mental Distress) for their rivals in film industry.

It was natural for a Software Engineer to feel left out. It was almost as if the world was busy writing down their opinions for the next generations, like the cave paintings of the Early Nomads. If the Global warming suddenly destroyed the whole planet one day and by some queer chance, the computers and the blogs were to survive, I would be the only one whom the future inhabitants of this world would not know. :(

That was it!!! I decided I could no longer be incognito. I too, hold very strong opinions about certain things in this world and I cannot afford not to be heard, rather not to be READ.

So, with a big bang, I decided to start creating my blogs too!! At this moment, I feel like the baby who has stood on his feet for the first time, like the painter whose works are on display at an exhibition for the first time, the student whose first "Hello World" program is running successfully :).

Strange is the feeling of contentment which manifests itself at such wild moments. Ecstatic is the word that would best describe it :).

So, with a thousand thoughts to pen down, I hereby, take my First Step...
